Through our SunCares Employee Grants Program, Suncor supports the active involvement of our employees and retirees in the community through a number of employee grant programs. This program recognizes employee contributions and volunteer efforts in non-profit and charitable organizations to support the causes they care about.
The SunCares program is open to full-time and part-time employees, Suncor and Petro-Canada retirees and members of the board of directors of Suncor.

Suncor offers the following grant programs to employees and retirees:
- Community Service Grants
- Volunteering Grant
Suncor will provide a grant to an eligible organization at which you volunteer.
- Fundraising Grant
Suncor will provide a grant to an eligible organization at which you volunteer and take part in an organized fundraising activity.
- Post-Secondary Matching Grant
Suncor will match your donations to qualified post-secondary institutions.
- Service Awards Grant (Canada Only)
Choose to have the value of your Service Award gift donated to a registered Canadian charitable organization.
- Bereavement Grant
Suncor will make a memoriam gift to a charitable organization in memory of someone from the Suncor “family” who has passed away.
- Humanitarian Relief Grant
In response to world events, Suncor may match contributions to the
Red Cross (or other pre-approved agencies).

What to expect in making an application:
- After the application is received it will be reviewed
- You may be asked for more information to clarify your role or request
- If the grant request is approved, payment will be made by cheque or direct deposit to the organization you support
- You will be notified when payment has been sent to the organization
