Suncor's funding priorities reflect our commitment to be a sustainable energy company and to support the communities where we have an operating presence. Suncor and the Suncor Energy Foundation invest in initiatives that:

  • strengthen the communities in which we operate
  • advance education
  • address environmental issues
  • support the volunteer efforts and charitable giving of our employees

Communities where Suncor operates

In Canada, Suncor operates in:

  • central, southeastern and northern Alberta (Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo, Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Edson, Fort McKay)
  • southwestern Saskatchewan
  • northeastern British Columbia (Fort St. John area)
  • southern Ontario (Mississauga, Oakville)
  • southwestern Ontario (Sarnia-Lambton, Ripley)
  • Quebec (Montreal)
  • Newfoundland and Labrador (Jeanne d’Arc Basin)

In the United States, Suncor operates in:

  • northern Colorado (Denver, Commerce City, Greeley, Fort Lupton)
  • southeastern and southwestern Wyoming (Cheyenne, Wheatland, Guernsey, Green River, Powder River)
  • eastern Utah (Uinta Basin)

Internationally, Suncor operates in:

  • United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway (North Sea)
  • Libya (Sirte Basin)
  • Syria
  • Trinidad and Tobago (Port of Spain, Gulf of Paria, north coast).

The Suncor Energy Foundation invests in registered Canadian charities that meet our funding priorities and have a presence in our operating communities.
