1. How do I apply for a job at Suncor?

2. How do I create a profile?
- Select Apply from the left navigation.
- Click “Log in”.
- Enter your email and password in the “Create a New User Account” box, and then click “Submit”.
- Follow the instructions to import your resume and complete the profile.
Please enter as much information as possible and then click “Confirm” to save your profile information.
3. How do I edit my profile?
- Select Apply from the left navigation.
- Click “Log in”.
- Enter your email and password in the “Registered User” box, and “Submit”.
- Click “My Profile”, make your changes and then click “Confirm” to save the changes.
4. How do I apply for a specific job?
- Select Apply from the left navigation.
- You can view all openings or populate the drop-down menus to narrow your search for specific opportunities.
- You will need to log in as a “Registered User” or create a “New User Account” to apply for an opportunity.
- When you see a job opportunity that interests you, click “Apply” at the bottom of the job description. Your profile will be sent for that specific position. Your application will be reviewed against the skills and experience requirements of the job. The time it takes for Suncor to complete the application review process varies with each position.
5. How to submit my resume for future consideration?
- If you are unable to find a job or location in the drop-down menu it means that there are no current roles available.
- If you are interested in roles that are not available, we encourage you to submit your resume for future consideration.
- Click Apply in the left navigation.
- At the bottom of the page, click on “Submit your profile for future consideration, even if you don’t see a job in your area”.
- Log in as a “Registered User” or create a “New User Account”.
- If you are a registered user, log in and click on "My Profile" and follow the steps on the screen to import a resume and update your profile.
- If you are a new user, once you have logged into the system, you will be redirected to the "My Profile" screen. You can attach a resume and/or update your profile as necessary.
- Select “Confirm” to save your changes.
6. What is a Career Alert?
If you do not see a job currently listed that interests you, we encourage you to create a “Career Alert” that will automatically notify you when opportunities matching your interests become available. This ensures you never miss a potential employment opportunity at Suncor.
7. How do I create a Career Alert?
- Click “Apply” in the left navigation.
- Log in as a “Registered User” or create a “New User Account”.
- If you are a registered user, log in and click on "Career Alerts" then click “Add a Career Alert.”
- Once you have populated the drop-down menus, click “Confirm”, review your choices, and click “Submit”.

8. How do I confirm that my resume has been submitted?
- Click “Apply” in the left navigation.
- "Log in" and enter your email address and password.
- Click on “My Job List” and a list of all positions you have applied for will display.
9. What if I have forgotten my password?
- Click “Apply” in the left navigation.
- "Log in".
- Go to “Forget your password?” and enter your email address.
- Click “Submit”.
You will receive an email with your password shortly.
10. What if I have forgotten all my log-in information?

11. How do I get help accessing the careers section?
- Suncor's Careers web page only supports Internet Explorer versions 5+ and Netscape versions 6+. You can download a free copy of these browsers at http://www.microsoft.com/ and http://www.netscape.com/ respectively.
- If your browser reports an error on the page, you may need to empty your Temporary Internet Files.
- Open your web browser
- Tools > Internet Options > General >Temporary Internet Files.
- Click on the Delete Files button
- Click OK.
- JavaScript and cookies must be enabled. To enable them:
- Open your web browser and select Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level.
- Make sure all three items under the Scripting section are enabled.
12. How long does the selection process normally take?
- The selection process can vary in time before a successful candidate is found. Once the posting closes, applications are reviewed for candidate suitability. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. The time to complete the hiring process will vary depending on a number of factors such as the type of position, number of applications received and administrative processes.
- At times, we review resumes for future opportunities. We encourage you to keep your profile current and updated if you remain interested in Suncor.
13. Someone sent me a job offer. How do I know it is legitimate?
Suncor is aware that some job seekers have received false employment offers from an individual or organization posing as Suncor. Individuals or organizations sending these false employment offers may request personal information or funds to further the recruitment process.
Please be aware that Suncor will never request money from job seekers, nor request personal information beyond what is required for a resume. All individuals who are successful in gaining an offer of employment from Suncor, whether directly or indirectly, are always required to go through a formal recruitment process including an interview with a member of the Suncor Recruitment Team.
